Material Planning Specialist

Location: Laguna

Key Responsibilities

  • Issuance to Supplier and updating of Purchase Orders.
  • Communicate to Suppliers forecast, new Purchase, open Purchase order and Delivery Signal (ASN).
  • Identify and implement methodologies to optimize Inventory turns and indicators, manage the planning process of stock level.
  • Review Excess and Obsolete, determine proper disposition and controls
  • Management of Service Level of Agreement (SLA).
  • Monitors supplier performance based on SLA.
  • Coordinates operational/supply issues of suppliers.
  • Lead the Work level meeting with suppliers regarding performance .(Quarterly or as required)
  • Monitors the life cycle of the assigned material (OLD, NEW, ALTERNATIVE). Phase in/Phase Out
  • Performs and coordinate Balance –out of stock up to supplier inventory and identify company exposure.
  • Interface with Process, Quality, Product Engineering (New & Current) and with Finance as required.

Requirements

  • Industrial Engineering  Graduate
  • 5-7 years experience in a Manufacturing set-up

Material Planning Specialist maintain and optimize inventories of the organization. Key duties includes setting inventory parameters, Purchase Order Management, preventing production delays and downtime, assessing Supplier capacity availability, maintaining stocks, and investigating supply chain issues.

Review and understand forecast demand, production plan and schedule. Assess supplier capacity to support the overall demand (Forecast & current demand).
Assess material parameters and safety stock requirements to support fluctuation on demand. Analyze MRP/EP output and perform appropriate action. Review Excess and Short stock of the assigned material. Utilization of the available ERP tool for advance planning to increase process efficiency.

Preparation and submission of the following reports: Shortage/Stock Out report – Daily, Material Supportability- Weekly/Monthly, Excess & Obsolete Assessment & disposition- Monthly, Purchase Forecast Analysis – Monthly after cut-off, Purchase Accuracy Analysis(Forecast vs Actual Receipts) – Monthly, Aging Planned Purchase Order/Purchase Requisition- Weekly, Aging Purchase Orders – Daily, and Other items as may instructed by the  immediate manager and BU Head.
