Pollution Control Officer/EHS Coordinator – Reliever

Location: Laguna

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures the company complies with all applicable legal and regulatory permits and reporting requirements (DOLE, PDEA, BFP, LLDA & DENR) and serves as a liaison to these government agencies.
  • PDEA License
  • Ozone Depleting Substance Certificate of Registration permit
  • Environmental Compliance Certificate from LLDA/DENR
  • Semi-Annual Report to Philippines Drug Enforcement
  • Quarterly Self-Monitoring Report and Compliance Semi-Annual Report to Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
  • Quarterly Self-Monitoring Report to Laguna Lake Development Authority
  • Quarterly and Annual Reports to Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)
  • Manages the hazardous wastes generated from water treatment plant (sludge cake), waist paint, used oil, Oil contaminated materials, Busted Fluorescent Tubes, Used Acid lead batteries.
  • Ensures that hazardous wastes are stored properly treated and dispose by Accredited DENR hauler.
  • Accomplished manifest form and copy of treatment certificate duly signed by DENR are recorded and filed.
  • Conducts audit to verify compliance by hazardous waste hauler
  • Ensures that new or existing environment safety and health legislation, approved codes of practice, guidance notes, and government reports are communicated and complied.
  • Plans, formulates, promotes, implements and coordinates EHS programs, objectives and targets. Standardize and documents work procedures to reduce/eliminate environmental impacts and occupational injuries & illnesses.
  • Conducts internal Environmental, Health and Safety audit based on corporate & local policies and procedures. Represents the business units on external audits (regulatory & customer). Coordinates the audit results to concerned head and formulate CAPA (corrective/preventive actions) and its completion.

Requirements

  • Graduate of 4 or 5 year course, Engineering Graduate (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineer) is desired.
  • 40 – Hour Pollution Control Training
  • 40 – Hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training
  • Accredited Pollution Control Officer
  • Accredited OSH Practitioner is desired.
  • 4 Years-Pollution Control Officer
  • 3 Years-Occupational Health and Safety
  • ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OSHAS 18001 (Safety) Audit and documentation experience is desired.

Monitors operation of waste water treatment facility and Air Pollution Sources Equipment. Ensures facilities are properly maintained. Facilitates and witness water effluent grab sampling by LISP twice a month. Ensure Ambient Air Quality and Noise test required by DENR is performed annually.
