Manages the creation of material data master (MDM) by collecting required information and ensuring all Data Governance policies are followed. Maintains all material master data for the business.
Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
Serves as the primary point of contact from requestors to process requests for MDM maintenance process. Validates requests and processes changes in system as needed.
Serves as liaison for coordination of potential material issues among departments, suppliers and customers. Researches and troubleshoots requests by serving as the system expert.
Works closely with data sources to collect all required information needed to set up new materials.
Communicates business needs and assists various data sources and communities during the collection of information used to maintain the material master data.
Assist business process experts in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation.
Work with business units and process experts to resolve master data issues.
Supports department projects to improved processes and build-out functionality.
Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in information science, data management, computer science or Information Technology
Training and Certification: Master Data Management: Administrator, Specialist; MDM Multidomain 10: Developer, Specialist Certification
Experience: + 2+ years plus years working in a data specialist role is desired.
Excellent analytical ability, advanced MS Excel and/or Access. + SQL is a big plus! + SAP S4/HANA + Materials Master Data (MM) experience
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues.
Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct “customers” of the process.
Responsible for ensuring the creation and management of material content, data and account requirements for the material master data (MDM) process. Perform material set up and maintenance for CIC.
