FP&A Sr. Specialist Logistics

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures that actual data are secured to the level that is relevant both in the vertical and horizontal analysis of the SBU and BU financials as well as in the reporting packages
  • Provides insightful analytics on what happened and how this compares with the latest estimate, plan, and last year figures
  • Prepares, reviews, and provides analysis including volume, price and costs, material and factory productivity, with roadmap highlighting all factors and issues, interpreting the results and identifying any risks and opportunities that has significant impact in the financials.
  • Identifies gaps in the financial performance and how these gaps will impact the delivery of the balance-of-year and full year numbers
  • Communicates and coordinates promptly any material deviation to plan/forecast and identifies any potential risks and/or opportunities as a result
  • Prepares reports and analysis of production, purchases, issuances and other inventory movements including to measure results against target and year over year performance with emphasis on improving turnover rates.
  • Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations
  • Prepares and ensures that the monthly reporting package presents the correct figures and provides insightful analytics
  • Monitors, controls, checks and validates all the dashboard reports and all financial related reports distributed to different business units
  • Assists in preparation of power point presentation materials and assists in the completion of other reporting packages such as MBR, QBR, F&O deck, Functional materials and FP&A team requirements such as plan/forecast package, management reports (Flash, R&O) monthly ExCom update, and other FP&A reporting requirements.
  • Conduct monthly BU reviews for actuals / forecast or plan numbers to ensure BU’s awareness accountability on their financials
  • Support and assists other ad hoc related reports and further analysis required by PSD CFO,
  • Factory Controller, FP&A Manager and business units.
  • Ensure to upload in Adaptive Insights the final forecast as approved by PSD CFO and Factory Controller including manual reports submission and SOD disclosures.
  • Practices continuous improvement on the planning, forecast, and reporting processes to leverage available tools and systems
  • Provides analytics as often as deemed necessary in the completion of a project/program
  • Organizes and controls all templates, schedules, reports, packages, presentation materials, references and other supporting documents for common reference and usage of the team
  • Shares expertise to other members of the FP&A team

Requirements

  • BS Accountancy, BS Management, BS Management Engineering, MBA or CMA is preferred.
  • Training and Certification: Financial modeling; Profitability analysis; Strategic planning and budgeting; value chain analysis; forecasting and demand management
  • 2-3 years experience in Commercial Finance; Financial Planning; Management Reporting or Business Partnering in Manufacturing Company;
  • 3-5 years experience in Commercial Finance; Financial Planning; Management Reporting or Business Partnering in Manufacturing Company; Logistics, Warehouse, MRP, Supply Chain
  • Functional Competencies: Strong analytical skills; Strong business acumen; Strong inter-personal and communication skills; Knowledgeable in SAP data extraction and reporting, Advanced Excel.

Responsible to provide support and carry out planning, forecasting, actualization, reporting and analysis activities as well as providing accurate and relevant management reports, identifying variances, trends, issues, risks and opportunities in a timely manner. Measures financial/operational performance against plan, prior year and prior estimates. Ensures that the SBU plan/forecast is coherent and incorporates the directions and expectations of the management.  Any risk therein is identified and discussed with the SBU management so that appropriate programs is crafted to address it if not mitigate the impact. Keeps the SBU management well informed of what’s driving their financial performance and knowledgeable of any gaps and the impact that these gaps have in the delivery of their plan/forecast. Ensures that all SBU numbers are correct and consistent across all reporting systems.

Overall roll-up and consolidation to generate full financials with reporting packages and analysis ensuring alignment with business objectives / directions and understanding the implications and drivers of changes as well as communication and presentation of results measured against plan, prior year and prior estimates. Ensures that the plan/forecast embodies the latest direction of the management and if there are any changes, such changes are identified and quantified. Communicates, coordinates and incorporates, as necessary and as approved/directed, all necessary information affecting factory performance metrics ensuring that both expectations are met to obtain objectives within the set deadlines. Ensures that known gaps in actual performance are addressed if not mitigated in the plan/forecast. Identifies potential areas of concern and aggressively seeks information to understand why it is in the plan/forecast. Ensures the accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness of all plan/forecast requirements to complete the full financial roll-up in a timely manner. Ensures that the plan/forecast numbers are correct and consistent in all reporting systems. Secures all assumptions and directions used in building the plan/forecast as well as the details behind the plan/forecast numbers. Identifies process improvements and report enhancement to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness. Develop effective financial templates applicable to business models and requirements.
